The AYYAR motif napkins are made of Calico and are embroidered in Beirut using an antique embroidery machine.

The napkins are sold individually Each item is unique thanks to the handmade nature of the work–slight variations in size, colour and shape may occur. The whole width of the fabric is utilised therefore the appearance of every product may vary slightly.  

AYYAR is an ode to seasonal living – escaping the coast on hot summer months in search of a breeze and the freshest air amidst pine and cedar trees. ʾAyyār is the Arabic word for the month of May, originally from the Syriac calendar, it is commonly used in Lebanon and the Levant. It is the month during which mountain homes get cleaned and ready for summer festivities.
