This design takes its name 'Whirl' from the intricate combed marbled designs that were first created during the 20th century. Combs made up of many fine pins are drawn across the paints in the marbling tray, back and forth, to create this delicate pattern.

'Dalloway' pays homage to the Bloomsbury group of artists, writers and intellectuals who lived in and around London in the early 20th century. They embraced a distinctive colour palette which was an antidote to the drab interiors of the time. This palette of dusky blues and pinks, soft ochre and fresh green is inspired by the colours of Charleston Farmhouse. They hope this new design might inspire you to add an artisan and Bloomsbury touch to your own interiors.

Please note that although this pattern has some linear horizonal lines they are not straight, nor intended to be straight due to the organic natural flow and movement in the marbling tray.

This design has been digitally produced on responsibly sourced non-woven paper. All inks used are water-based, non-toxic and environmentally safe - free from VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds).
