The CHEMIN motif cushion cover is made of Calico and is embroidered in Beirut using the Aghabani technique. The cushion cover has embroidery on the front and a zipper on the back.

Each item is unique thanks to the handmade nature of the work–slight variations in size, colour and shape may occur. The whole width of the fabric is utilised therefore the appearance of every product may vary slightly.

The CHEMIN design is an unconventional application of Aghabani embroidery, traditionally used to create ornate and floral designs. Inspired by urban spaces, this series upends the technique by creating geometric forms and straight lines. Originally from around Damascus, Aghabani is synonymous with festivity and lives in the collective memory of people in the region.
