ARE YOU A TRADE PROFESSIONAL?

Inspired by an early 18th-century print by Claude Gillot, held in the British Museum, Birds at Play draws on the artwork’s ornamental foliage, delicate line work, and drifting birds. Created in partnership with Leah Lane as part of our Mulberry House collection, the design is rendered on a softly textured, parchment-toned ground, bringing a sense of quiet movement and historic elegance to the walls.
Notes: This fabric has been inspired by a detail from an artwork in the collections of the British Museum. Design for a ceiling with arabesque ornament comprising scrolling elements and various animals, 1688-1722, watercolour and bodycolour, heightened with gold, by Claude Gillot, French, British Museum 1932,0613.1, funded by H L Florence Fund.
