This handmade ceramic oil and wax melt burner is individually thrown on the potter’s wheel using a pink stoneware clay.

Designed to be both beautiful and functional, this ceramic oil burner is perfect for using with essential oils, fragrance oils or soy wax melts to create a warm, calming atmosphere at home.

The exterior is left unglazed, allowing for the natural texture of the pink coloured clay. This gives the burner a beautifully tactile, matte finish, while the inside is finished with a transparent gloss glaze that catches the glow of a tealight candle.

With its simple, minimalist shape, this handmade burner works beautifully across a range of interiors, from Scandinavian and Japandi-inspired spaces to contemporary homes.

Each burner is handmade, so no two pieces will be exactly the same. Small variations in texture, colour and shape are part of what makes handmade pottery unique. Rather than adding the colour through the traditional method of glazing, we instead work with coloured clays. All of our coloured clays are mixed by hand, ensuring that the colour is integrated throughout the entire ceramic form.

Ceramists Bex and Stan, are the makers behind Throw to Fire. They make small-batch, functional ceramics, blending contemporary aesthetics with an architectural edge. Their work is characterised by the use of stained clay to create a soft colour palette of greys, pinks, mauves and greens. All of their pieces are hand-thrown from their garden studio in Brighton, in the UK.
