The Herbarium collection originated as a hand-painted wallpaper. Inspired by the decoupaged walls of 18th-century Swedish botanist Carl Linnaeus’ summerhouse, Tess' painted studies are printed onto a warm lime wash ground. The design includes woodland ferns, bluebells, forget-me-nots, strawberries, and wild roses. Developed from her hand-painted murals, British decorative artist Tess Newall’s collection of wallcoverings and homewares draws inspiration from the Sussex countryside and from her personal collection of antique textiles and prints.

Tess Newall’s Herbarium Forest design captures the poetic beauty of gathered wildflowers, reimagined in a soft blush pink. The botanical motif brings a delicate, painterly charm to walls, offering a timeless backdrop inspired by nature.

Printed on tactile grasscloth, this wallpaper adds depth and warmth through its natural fibres and hand-crafted texture. Each roll is produced in England using traditional techniques that honour the spirit of hand-blocked design.
