The piece challenges the notion of the Western culture, that people are smarter, better, and in all ways above nature. People come from nature, are part of nature, and are still dependent on the natural world. No flowers, no humans! But the flowers will keep thriving and blooming long after we are gone, just as they did before we were here. This piece is a humble reminder for us to be respectful to the elders of the earth, the plant kingdom, who can teach us much about surviving on this planet.
