My favourite hack as an interior designer
To allow space for things to come together rather than rushing decisions or spending it all in one place. The most successful interiors are those that are thoughtfully layered over time, creating a richness and depth that can’t be achieved instantly.
The one thing I always tell my clients
Not to be afraid of committing to a design—fear of getting bored often leads to playing it too safe. And not to shy away from colour or moodier spaces; darker tones can bring depth, character, and a real sense of comfort.
Trend I love and one I avoid
I love anything rooted in craftsmanship—pieces that are handmade, a little imperfect, and carry a sense of history and care. As for trends I avoid… when you see it everywhere, it’s usually time to take a step back even though some things are really hard because I do love it so much!
