Meet The Designer
Lucy’s love of interiors was borne from her time living in Paris many years ago, when she would spend her weekends traversing the vintage markets in search of gorgeous, unique finds. Upon her return to London, Lucy was Senior Designer at two prestigious London based interior design studios before founding her own studio, Lucy Goldbart Interior Design.
Lucy believes in warm, tailored interiors that exude effortless luxury. She was recently named one of Homes&Gardens’ Top 25 ‘Next In Design’ for 2025; is featured on ‘The List’ by House and Garden, and was a finalist for SBID’s 2025 Interior Design Awards. Her work has been featured in Homes & Gardens Magazine and Living Etc. magazine, amongst others.
Lucy believes that every space should make a statement, but should also feel comfortable, and full of character. She and her team pay meticulous attention to every aspect of their client’s needs and lifestyle, moulding each project experience to the individual client, to deliver truly bespoke, unique homes.
An emphasis on craftsmanship, texture, natural materials and statement pieces are defining features of all Lucy’s diverse projects.
Tips from the Experts
My dream material or product to work with
Marble, Marble, Marble.. I love using soft, tactile, natural materials, and marble is basically nature's candy. Once it's installed, don't be too precious with it patina adds character and every etching tells the story of your home.
My favourite hack as an interior designer
Scrap traditional ceiling spotlights in lieu of beautiful mood lighting. Just because it's practical, doesn't mean it needs to look so. Gently illuminate your spaces with flush-mount or directional lighting fixtures to add warmth and a sense of intentional moodiness to every corner of your home. This works particularly well this textured limewashed or plastered walls as accentuates their cloudy welcoming effect.
The one thing I always tell my clients
If you fall in love with a piece, buy it. You can always find a way to integrate it into your space. I love to collect furniture and accessories whenever I travel. Integrating vintage, curated pieces that you have collected over time will make your space feel so much more authentic and special. Essentially, nothing is wrong or out of place if you love it.
Trend I love and one I avoid
I love seventies colour palette, and for me warm, rich woody tones will never be old. I like any space that makes me think of warmer climates and feel like i've stepped into the sunshine. Chrome is just not for me, it has it's place in design, but i don't want to build homes that feel overly stark and cold. For me, warmth is key and it's what we gravitate towards in all our designs.
