Born from the Jacquard Loom, desired by the Royal Houses, Mute Eloquence sits unruffled ornate with 15th Century Ottoman designs. Inspired from the architectural elegance of the Ottoman empire, the arabesque textural motifs weaved to glisten, truly make it a collectible. These flatwoven towels have a beautiful history that also ties back to the royal women of the Ottoman Palace who wanted peshtemals that were ornate and more unique to be able to show them off in their Hammam visits, which in that era was the most significant part of their social life. They hired professional weavers to design such bath towels which created a peaking point in the history of peshtemal. During and after 17th century, peshtamals became a symbol for both fashion and utility.
