Alban Champagne cup is made for the best dinner parties or when you crave a scoop of your favourite gelato with a cherry on top.

The Alban collection was designed before Akua Objects was founded. The collection was sketched in 2019, while Annika’s first-born son, Alban, was still growing in her belly. The symbol of growing life and the remembrance of the poppy, gave life to Akua Objects first collected drawings, which today represent a collection named after Alban. The drawings are inspired by the delicate beauty of flowers. The red wine evokes the graceful Tulip, the white wine, the pure Poppy, and the Champagne, a floating Water Lily. The cups themselves are sculpted to resemble blooming flowers—an unfolding blossom with a dramatic thorn on its stem, while the base, shaped like roots, anchors it deep into the earth. The Alban glasses convey a contemporary take on the poppy that has always been close to Annika’s heart.
