A hopeful journey across the skies, to a safer, happier, better place.

There’s a French electronic music producer called Godford that she went to see at the Shoreditch club XOYO a couple of years ago. Their album I YOU SHE is one she could listen to over and over again, getting totally lost in the warmth of the spellbinding synths and poetic vocal samples. Her favourite song, though, is called Better Place. It makes you want to cry and dance, enveloped in hope, romance, sadness and euphoria at the same time. Godford themselves described the album as ‘for the romantic ravers’, and this song embodies that. The repeated sample, ‘Again I saw you alone, I’ll make a better place for you’, is the inspiration for this drawing.

This is also probably the most popular print, and she wonders if it’s because of the pleasing, fresh colours or because many people know what it is to search for belonging or bluer skies.

The prints are created using luxury textured paper here in the UK. For every print made, a tree is planted. Lovely.
