Unexpected, ethereal and quietly dramatic, Paradise transforms thousands of natural silk cocoons into a luminous pendant light with an almost cloud-like presence.

Approximately 2,600 cocoons are individually selected and arranged by hand across a finely formed stainless-steel structure, created through more than 2,100 individually welded joints. A delicate halo of natural silk fibre remains around each cocoon, catching and diffusing the light to create a warm, atmospheric glow.

Despite its scale, Paradise feels remarkably light and delicate. Suspended above a dining table, illuminating a reception counter or presented within a living space, it introduces softness, texture and sculptural presence without appearing visually heavy.

Created by Bangkok-based lighting studio Ango, Paradise reflects the studio’s long-standing exploration of natural materials and hand-developed making techniques. The result lies somewhere between lighting and sculpture: an expressive object shaped as much by craftsmanship and materiality as by light itself.
