You’ve been served: Wild by Tart, London
Founded by Jemima Jones and Lucy Carr-Ellison, the talented team behind luxury catering company Tart London, along with Tom Warren of Lock Studios, Wild by Tart is a team effort and a community hotspot. A place to visit for its colourful, seasonal menu as much as its infectious, inviting energy.
What to expect at Wild by Tart
Wild by Tart isn’t just a place to eat – it’s a philosophy and a way of life. Inside the 9000sq ft of this former power station and coal store in London, you’ll find: a restaurant, bar, deli and kiosk, retail store, events space, and even a photography studio. Its diversity gives it a community feel – enhanced by the restaurant’s open kitchen, counter seating and wood burning oven. And the space’s stripped-back aesthetic elevates this warm ambience, through a clever use of natural light, industrial original features and lots of light wood.
What’s on the menu at Wild by Tart
The laidback, fun feel of this neighbourhood destination is mirrored in its menu. Founders Jemma and Lucy create the dishes, and prefer to focus on food that excites them – not bound to a particular style of cuisine. Instead, they’re guided by their close network of local suppliers – chosen for their sustainable, artisanal approach – and choose seasonal ingredients that are rich in nutrients and vibrant in colour. Dropping in for lunch after checking out their retail store? Try the colourful burrata, blood orange and smoked almond salad, or the braised Tamworth pork with Chinese spices and puy lentils. Big on flavour, and crafted with love.
