Meet Camille Omerin, Founder and Designer, Maison Père, Paris

After launching her own clothing brand in 2015, the designer, originally from Auvergne, has now diversified her activities by launching her first collection of furniture and decoration, along with a service of interior design. We meet the creative and discuss her inspirations. 

How would you describe Maison Père?
Maison Were is a creative house inspired by art and design.

Can you tell us more about the name ‘Maison Père’?
I like the expression Maison Mere, which in French means headquarters. Unfortunately, a lot of brands but too many businesses had already used it – so I want for Père. ​​

What do tradition and heritage mean to you? 
It is above all the highlighting of creativity, innovative and different ideas.

How would you describe your style in one word?

Where do you find your inspiration for interior design?
At the flea market in Saint-Ouen, Paris.

What makes a home in one word?

Describe your philosophy when it comes to decoration or fashion.
Colors first.

Flea-markets, always.

Your favourite hotel in Paris/in the world. 
Lily of the valley in St Tropez.
